Discount Tyres – Website Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. About these terms
1.1 These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of discounttyres.co.uk and its related pages and content (the "Website").
1.2 The Website is operated by Haydon Rouse Consultancy Ltd, trading as Discount Tyres, company number 08208176, with its registered office at 28 Ridgeway Cliff, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 8JQ ("we", "us" or "our").
1.3 By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1.4 We may amend these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on the Website with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes apply from publication. Please check this page periodically. Your continued use of the Website after a change is published means you accept the updated Terms.
2. What the Website does
2.1 The Website provides editorial and informational content for a UK audience, including comparison-style tyre listings, product information, offers and recommendations. The Website is not a tyre retailer and does not sell or supply tyres directly.
2.2 Listings and recommendations may not cover every tyre, retailer or offer available in the market. Their order, content or prominence may be affected by commercial arrangements, including affiliate relationships.
2.3 Information on the Website is general information only. Retailer prices, product specifications, availability, delivery options and other terms may change. Check the relevant retailer's website and offer terms before making a purchase.
3. Affiliate and commercial disclosure
3.1 Some links on the Website are affiliate or partner links. If you follow one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, or in some cases take another qualifying action, we may receive a commission or other payment from the relevant retailer or partner.
3.2 You will not be charged an additional fee by us for using an affiliate link. The retailer sets its own prices and terms, which may change and may differ between retailers.
3.3 If you buy tyres or other goods or services from a third-party retailer, your contract is with that retailer, not with us. We are not a party to that contract and do not process your order or payment, supply or fit the tyres, arrange delivery, or administer returns or refunds.
3.4 Questions or complaints about an order, product, warranty, delivery, fitting, cancellation, return or refund must be directed to the retailer or other supplier concerned. You may contact us about the Website or its content using the details in clause 17.
4. Information and advice
4.1 Website content, including information about tyre selection, sizes, specifications, fitting, safety and legal requirements, is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not professional, technical or vehicle-specific advice.
4.2 Tyre suitability can depend on your vehicle, how it is used and other circumstances. Check your vehicle manufacturer's guidance and the relevant retailer's product information, and consult a qualified tyre professional or other appropriate expert before making a decision where necessary.
4.3 You are responsible for checking that a tyre is suitable for your vehicle and that your vehicle complies with applicable safety and legal requirements. Do not rely on Website content as a substitute for professional advice or inspection.
4.4 Some content may be created or assisted using automated or artificial intelligence tools. We may review such content, but it may contain errors or omissions and should be checked against reliable, current sources before you act on it.
5. Accuracy and availability
5.1 We aim to keep the Website useful and up to date, but we do not guarantee that its content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your circumstances. Prices, specifications, offers and availability are particularly liable to change. Errors and omissions excepted.
5.2 We may update, remove or correct content at any time. We do not guarantee that the Website, or any particular feature or content, will always be available or uninterrupted.
5.3 A listing or link on the Website is not a guarantee that a product or offer remains available or that a retailer will accept or fulfil an order.
6. Acceptable use
6.1 You may use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
6.2 You must not:
- use the Website in a way that breaches any applicable law or regulation, infringes another person's rights, or is fraudulent or harmful;
- introduce or transmit viruses, malicious code or other material that could damage, disrupt or compromise the Website or another person's systems;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers, accounts or connected systems, or interfere with their operation or security;
- copy, scrape, harvest, collect or reuse Website content or data by automated means, except where the law permits or we have given prior written permission; or
- use the Website or its content in a way that could mislead others or falsely suggest our approval, involvement or endorsement.
6.3 We may restrict or suspend access to the Website if we reasonably believe that you have breached this clause or that doing so is necessary to protect the Website, its users or our rights.
7. Intellectual property
7.1 Unless stated otherwise, we or our licensors own or have the right to use the intellectual property rights in the Website and its content, including text, graphics, branding, design and compilation.
7.2 You may access and use the Website for your personal, non-commercial purposes. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable permission to do so.
7.3 You must not reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, commercially exploit or create derivative works from Website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law. This clause does not affect any rights belonging to third parties.
8. Third-party websites and services
8.1 The Website may link to third-party websites, retailers or services. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, products, services, security, availability, terms or privacy practices.
8.2 A link is provided for convenience and does not, by itself, amount to our approval or endorsement of the linked site, retailer, product or service.
8.3 If you visit a third-party website or use a third-party service, its own terms and privacy policy will apply. You should review them before providing information or making a purchase.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not give any promise or warranty that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or free from viruses, or that its content will be accurate, complete or suitable for your purposes.
9.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
10.2 Subject to clause 10.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or reliance on its content;
- a purchase, order, product, service or dispute between you and a third-party retailer or supplier; or
- indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated savings or data.
10.3 We take reasonable care in providing the Website. Nothing in this clause excludes liability where doing so would be unfair or unlawful, or affects any rights you have that cannot legally be restricted.
11. Indemnity
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses and costs directly arising from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful use of the Website or your material breach of these Terms.
11.2 This clause does not apply to the extent that a claim or loss was caused by our own negligence, breach of these Terms or other wrongful act. It does not require you to meet any liability that cannot lawfully be imposed on you.
12. Events outside our control
12.1 We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation under these Terms where the delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This may include interruption to communications networks, power failure, industrial action, natural events, or action taken by a public authority.
12.2 This clause does not affect any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
13. Severability
13.1 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. If that is not possible, the relevant part will be treated as deleted.
13.2 The rest of the Terms will continue to apply.
14. Entire agreement
14.1 These Terms set out the agreement between you and us concerning your use of the Website and replace any earlier terms relating to that use.
14.2 They do not form part of, or replace, any contract you may enter into with a third-party retailer or supplier. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
15.1 These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them or your use of the Website are governed by the law of England and Wales.
15.2 The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the Website, subject to any mandatory rights you may have to bring proceedings in another court.
16. No waiver
16.1 If we do not exercise, or delay exercising, a right under these Terms, that does not mean we have waived that right. A waiver is effective only if given in writing.
